A traveling bard and follower of Temophab recently was heard singing of a
mithril door located deep within the ancient stronghold now occupied by the
cult of Morkith. While no bard may be fully trusted, most songs ring with at
least partial truth. According to the song, the door is located beneath a
midnight black temple and guarded by twenty foot denizens from the plains of
hell itself.
Those wanting to gain access need not fight these fearful
guardians but must instead find a magical means of access through an arcane
language... listeners to the song believe that this language was contrived by
the singer. Once having gained access, according to the bard, a world opens,
or as he puts it worlds of fantastical wonder including the plane of the dead,
the plane of the nether, a warriors dream of a world comprised entirely of
sword blades and an ancient land frozen in time...
Shockingly though, he claims none who have entered have managed to return.
After a few drinks, he later admitted that his information was gleaned from a
very frustrated young priestess that has been sending teams into this newly
discovered hidden realm. With a wink and a nod, he claims he learned this
infomation from her directly after a late night in the room of the black
unicorn.
It is in regular TG, downstairs behind the mithril door in the priesty bit. to open the door you go south two, need to gift of tongues then look at the runes / touch knowledge. quickly go north two rooms, turn the sconce then go north into the new zone.
fwiw i think you only need gift of tongues to get into the zone initially. you can wait for repop in TG and the door wont close on you (as long as you don't leave that room). Gift of tongues phials pop in the chest sometimes if you have a thief to loot them. Otherwise there is a gift of tongues augment on the bracelet from durfs you can use to get in.
in the first room is a machine with buttons/levers, the combinations are:
silver/black east/west
white/red north/south
green/blue up/down
one lever and one button of those combos then turn the crank and a door will open in the corresponding direction.
If you get locked behind one of these doors everyone needs to touch rune
to get ported back to the central room. From the down room the command is trace rune
.
There are four wings corresponding to the four doors from the machine room. Go kill the boss at the end of each wing then come back to the center. You can then open the way down. Hopefully everyone brought their grappeling hooks, because everyone will need one to swing across the chasm to kill the aberration.
There are two secret doors that i've found so far, both have chests (prob requiring a thief to open). the first is west two from the middle then decode rune
(prob an int or language check). the other is east two then south and search
to find hidden/locked door. There is a chest in this secret room too but only small sized people can fit in there.
In the relentless skeletal warrior room you can sit on his throne to heal yourself if evil, or injury yourself if good.
In room# 77055 in the south wing at the lake you can jump bone
to go to the center island, from there you can go to a room south to room# 77056 where you can dig mound
, or climb column
to climb up the pillar to the druid boss; .
Repop is back out in TG, seems to be relatively safe if you close the door to the south. Please be aware people might want to run TG so don't idle/afk in TG!

I hope that some day this note finds it way to you, I am saddened that my endeavor has met with failure, but please know our intentions were always good. Now in hindsight, when I look back.... I see that we suffered from our own hubris mixed with overconfidence. We believed in the ambition of the high priestess, training an entire generation to wield the power of the divine? We could bring so much help to the world.
Unfortunately, something has happaned. Something tragic I fear, for now we are locked down here with no escape.. and she is gone. There had been rumblings that the Vassans would attack, but we didn't believe they actually would. Did they? I may never know.
I hope, with all my heart that you are doing well and that my son grows to be someone amazing. Please help him, please guide him in my absence.

The priest figured out the rune in the forest unicorn bedroom, he opened the way. We had to find the trapdoor release by the sentinels as well. Why so many secrets?!

Carved into the black marble of the southern wall, a perfectly formed square holds an uncountable number of sigils within it is parameters. So
crowded are the arcane symbols, it is nearly impossible to determine where one ends and another starts.

You study the map closely, and realise the tokens lay out invasion plans for the three Secomber strongholds. You're not quite certain which armies are involved on the invading side, but the strategy is laid out in a precice, elegant manner.

This sleek piece does not seem to have been crafted at all, but instead seems almost a minature creature. Delicate legs curl gently under the unicorn's body, while his face seems turned to survey his surroundings. Something about this statue lends the definite impression that this creature is male, and its strange blue-green eyes are watching you. Soft black roses are woven into a wreath about his neck with garlands of black ivy, seeming impossibly to rustle with what could have only been his breath.

Midnight black scales gleam in the reflected light of the mage globe, the illumination perfectly mimiking the flames from the burning and destroyed buildings that are the backdrop of the mosiac. Blood gushes from the snapping jaws of a black shadow dragon as it crushes the life from the vyan impaled and trapped by the shredding fangs of the mammoth beast. Droplets of crimson fall towards the ground from the dying vyan while at the same time fly upwards from the mangled body of the elven girl trampled beneath the foot of the dragon.

You reach your arm into the crevice, struggling to try and pull out the golden shrine, but are unable to reach it.

A cluster of entwined sigils, crafted out of a blackened steel, merge together to form one large, flowing rune. Small rust spots dot the delicately thin metal canopy, further adding to the frailness of the steel. At the exact center of the sigil a diamond shaped hole destroys the symmetry of the sigil - obviously something was intended to rest within.

The shrine is covered in a black, viscous, gooey substance, yet even through this material some details can be discerned. Apparently once an altar dedicated to a beautiful woman, a scant few of the paintings that at one time adorned it still remain.

The faded, tattered blanket, stitched with a picture of a great tiger caught in mid-leap, mouth agape in a viscious snarl, lies smoothly across the narrow bed. Behind the cat, a waterfall tumbles into a silver ribbon of river, winding through a small copse of trees. Barely visible within the shadows of the trees, more than a handful of men armed with bows gaze outwardly...whether at the great cat or something else is hard to tell.

Cousin, I'm happy to report that the "Astol Vurgo" worked exactly as described. First, I used the phrase 'ver tok kol' to sneak past the fire giant sentry and scout the area myself. Unfortunately, the enchantment ran out and I did not realize. The giants spotted me and followed me back to our camp. They tried to ambush us, but I used the powder again, speaking the phrase 'ver tok gam' and our entire scouting party was able to move without detection. It saved us from the giants for sure.
